Happy New Year! This season naturally invites reflection, and we are grateful for all that we have been able to build together over the past year. Thank you for being part of Jay’s Music Academy!
We shared our Story with you—both on our news page and through the video presentation at our Recital. As we step forward into 2026, we invite you to revisit those stories, because they remind us of the purpose that continues to guide our work: “Teaching Music to help Kids Grow—and Grown-Ups, too.” Check out our Year-End Recap video (also below) and read on to see a highlight of our accomplishments and what we are looking forward to in 2026!

By God’s grace—and through your support, trust, and partnership—we were able to reach several meaningful milestones this year. Here are just a few:
January 2025: We transitioned from a one-room church space in Palm Bay to our new home in the Hibiscus Center at Suite 308B.
October 2025: We expanded again from Suite 308B to Suite 308Z to create a more inviting learning space for children and families.
We grew from 10 students to nearly 50, a humbling reminder of the impact of community support and shared belief in our mission.
Our private lesson students excel in their chosen instruments—many of whom begin with little to no prior knowledge of piano or voice—and have made much progress toward being confident singers and players. Their courage, commitment, and growth have been inspiring.
We taught over 800 hours of music lessons to our students this year!

We fully implemented the Keynotes Music Group Piano Curriculum, offering playful, purposeful, and connected group piano learning experiences:
Storytellers (Ages 6–8): Nearly 45 weeks of lessons that help early learners connect deeply with music through story-based experiences.
Piano Prep (Ages 2–3): Our Saturday program continued to grow as more parents entrusted us with introducing music to their preschoolers through movement, listening, and exploration.
Little Keynotes (Ages 4–5): Nearly 45 weeks of classes filled with songs, games, and imaginative learning.
We brought our group piano program into three school settings, giving families safe, enriching afterschool music opportunities.
We participated in over 20 community events, giving us the joy of meeting so many new families along the way.

We held our first recital with 40 participating students and over 100 family members cheering them on.
We were honored to be approved to accept the Step Up For Students Scholarship, helping make our music programs more accessible to more families.
We celebrated student birthdays throughout the year, creating moments of connection with our students and their families.

And most importantly, we are incredibly proud of all our students—from our youngest learners identifying notes and rhythms to our teens, tweens, and adults confidently performing full pieces. Your progress has been the heart of every milestone this year. Click below for a video of our JMA Kids!

As we welcome a new year, we look forward to fresh opportunities for growth, creativity, and confidence-building through music. In 2026, we are especially excited to:
- Welcome new teachers who will expand our group class and private lesson offerings.
- Enroll more students in our newly introduced instruments and classes: Guitar, Violin, Saxophone, Little Rock Program, and our Beginner Piano Class in Spanish

- Engage more parents through our Parent Involvement Board, which helps support our students and plan special events.
- Offer additional performance opportunities for our students throughout the year.
- Expand our school-based group music programs to reach more students.
- Plan and host our Spring Recital and our Summer Camp.
- Support students in their weekly home practice through our Millionaire Incentive Program.
- Continue delivering personalized and nurturing music instruction to every student, week after week.
- Celebrate student progress through our bimonthly newsletters, social media and regular performance events.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We look forward to another year filled with learning, growth, and meaningful music moments together.
