The JMA Music Program
At JMA, our work extends far beyond musical instruction. We view music as a powerful medium through which kids (and grown up too!) learn to understand themselves, express their emotions, and develop the character traits that will support them throughout life. Our approach to teaching is rooted in nurturing the whole person—emotionally, creatively, and intellectually—so that each student grows not only as a musician, but as a confident and expressive human being.
As an academy grounded in this belief, we embrace the responsibility and challenge of education over entertainment. While joy and engagement are vital, our purpose is not merely to occupy or amuse students, but to guide them through meaningful experiences that cultivate discipline, empathy, resilience, and self-expression.

Our Child-First Music Approach
JMA’s teaching philosophy is to teach your child through games, singing, and storytelling (leveraging concepts they are already familiar with).
This helps us develop students’ social, emotional, and physical worlds by providing more hands-on activities that make learning easier for children.
We also believe in providing a socially conducive learning environment where children can learn collaboratively while enjoying their learning experience by focusing on their musical interests and preferences.
